Description of
Program:
The Price Cutter Charity
Championship presented by Dr Pepper Board of Directors has always had the
desire to allow more organizations to benefit from the tournament. However,
the Board Members did not want to further increase the number of involved
organizations and in turn decrease the amount of funds going to each
charity. In order to accomplish this goal of including more organizations
while not diluting the pool of funds, they made the decision to expand the
existing ticket sales program to include a second group of community
causes. These community causes will sell tournament tickets and receive
funds from the tickets sales, but will not be eligible for any other
tournament programs.
Mission of the Program:
It is the mission of the Tickets "FORE" Community Causes presented by
Mattax Neu Prater Eye Center to provide an avenue for non-for-profit
organizations benefiting Ozarks area youth to raise funds that will
benefit their community cause.
Benefits of the Program:
- Bring awareness to local community organizations that support or
assist area youth
- Generate additional interest in the tournament and to expand
tournament demographics
- Increase attendance, which in turn increases sponsorship value for
all sponsors
- Generate additional financial support for numerous "community
causes" who are attempting to raise funds for their programs that
benefit area youth
Who Can Participate?
Any not-for-profit organization benefiting Ozarks area youth can be
considered for participation in the program.
How the Program Works:
- Organizations must fill out a
Community Cause Application and be approved by the Tickets "FORE"
Community Causes Committee.
Applications are
due July 1, 2008.
- If approved, organizations will receive a certificate from the
committee notifying them of acceptance and then tickets will be
distributed to them from Mattax Neu Prater Eye Center.
- Participants in the Tickets "FORE" Community Causes program have the
opportunity to sell $25 Ticket Packages and receive $20 from each
package sold. Ticket packages include a four-day grounds admissions
ticket to the tournament Thursday, July 17 – Sunday, July 20 and a
public parking pass (Total value is $52).
- Community Causes do not have the opportunity to participate in other
tournament fundraising programs.
- Money collected from tickets will need to be returned to Mattax Neu
Prater Eye Center. All checks need to made payable to: Price Cutter
Charity Championship (PCCC). Additional tickets to be sold may be
checked out at Mattax Neu Prater Eye Center located at 1265 E Primrose
St-Springfield, MO 65804.
Tickets "FORE" Community Causes Distribution:
Proceeds from the program will be distributed to participating Community
Causes by September 30, 2008.
